Transplant 5K

Since my Dad is now on the transplant list for a new heart my sister Dayna thought it would be fun for our whole family to do this. It was a ton of fun. We had shirts made with my Dad's picture on them. Some of us ran, some walked, and some of us ran and walked. Everyone did awesome. I am going to brag a little on my Jarrett boy. He ran the whole 3 miles and kept up with my sister Dayna, and my brothers Tony, Mike, and Cameron. He did sooooo good. He was the first kid to finish. Great Job Jarrett!!!! I think it is a tradition we will keep on doing. Everyone from my mom to Fletcher was in the race, the only one not was my Dad who was still in the hospital. Great job everyone!!!

Baby Animal Days....

We had the chance to go over to Cache Valley to Baby Animal Days. We love going. This year we got to see the typical baby ducks, lambs, sheep, cows, and horses. There was the bugs and yes Isabelle, McGregor, and Ben ate baked crickets again. YUK!!! This year they had bear cubs. So SO SO cute!!! It was amazing to me how like real babies they were. After the guy got done feeding one of them a bottle, he burped it. I thought that was so weird. It was fun, a ton of people, but fun for our family.

What's Next?

Well we have been showing our house to lots of people and have an offer. We have been cleaning and packing like crazy. Ben took our first load down to the new house this week. It is so weird to be packing up all of our stuff once again. We didn't think we would have to do this again. It will be nice to be living with Ben again. It has been so hard having him gone. So for that I am ready to move, but leaving everything I have ever known is so hard.
On a good note my Dad came home last Wednesday. He was supposed to be in the hospital a minimum of 4 weeks and after 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital he is home. He is really weak and tired, but we are so excited to have him home. This has been an amazing experience. We have been able to feel of the love of our Father in Heaven and it has taught us the power of prayer and the power of a priesthood blessing. Our faith has been tested to the limits, but the peace and love we have felt through this has been indescribable.

House Hunting!

Next on my list of things done is our adventure in house hunting in Las Vegas. First of all Ben was already in Vegas so I had to drive with my four monkeys all by myself, but luckily I got my brother Cameron to go with me. The drive down was a struggle. We stopped in Salt Lake to see my Dad before we left and he was just getting released from ICU!!!! We didn't end up leaving SLC until 5pm. WE LOVE RUSH HOUR!!!! We stopped in Nephi for dinner, somewhere between there and Filmore to try and get Fletcher calmed down ( Fletcher just loves the car and his carseat. Yeah I'm being funny!!), then we stopped in Beaver, and after a long long long day we made it to St. George about 9:30. We crashed @ Grandma Jodi's and got up and headed for LV. Friday we didn't do much, but Saturday we got up and went on the house hunt. I had made a list of 11 houses and by the time I got there my list was down to 4. We are just going to rent for about a year until we get to know the area better. First house was okay, second house was awesome, third house was disgusting, and fourth house just went up for short sale so we didn't end up looking at it. We loved the second house. It is in Northwest Las Vegas and we love the area. Saturday afternoon we went swimming and then went and took my brother Cameron to the water show @ the Bellagio. Sunday we went to our new ward and then headed back to St. George. Monday morning we packed the car and headed for home. The trip home was so much better. My kids are troopers and thanks Cameron for coming along.

Wow, I am so behind. We had a great freezing cold Easter. The kids did the quickest Easter Egg Hunt in the history of Easter Egg Hunts. So many kids so little candy. You could only get 3 eggs and had to take them to the table to exchange for candy. Yeah, this was done in like 30 seconds. I was okay with it because it was so cold. Then we went up and spent time with my family Saturday and spent Easter Sunday watching conference and ended the day with a Easter dinner and Easter Egg Hunt @ Grandpa Curtis's.
