Life in the heat...

This week the kids and I got bored so we headed up to the temple to look around. As you can see from the picture above the grounds are gorgeous. I always find it amazing with the Vegas temple that it sits on a hill and overlooks the strip. It was about a 110 degrees that day so we tried to stay in the shade. Later that evening I was able to go to my first session at the temple and it was amazing. I am looking forward to more visits to the temple.

This week for our "Saturday Adventure" we headed up to Red Cliffs in St. George. Ben talked about how awesome the waterfall and pools were up in there. When we got up there the road was closed to go up into the park, so we sat around and tried to decide what to do. Us and two other cars decided to go around the construction and see how far we could go. We made it all the way. What to say about this adventure........hmmm......glad it's over. It was soooo hot Saturday and the only water we found was stagnant. We did see a lot of lizards. I was worried that there would be no water this time of year and I was right, but hey we live and learn right? Then we tried to find a cool down and this is what we found.........................................................................

An awesome park with a splash pad. We were so thankful to find water to cool down in. Yes, Ben got in with all his clothes on and I ended up in there also. It felt so good. We were glad we found this park it was a ton of fun. After the park we headed to Ben's Uncle Greg and Aunt Connie's house for a bbq. Grandma and Grandpa McGregor, and Tia came also. It was so nice to be with family. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our visit. So our adventure for this week started on a hot bad note but ended on a good one.
* I am happy to let everyone know that after a month in the hospital, my dad came home Friday. He has a long rode, but we are glad he is home.
