We had originally planned on moving the 29th of September, but we ended up moving out of Vegas on the 27th. The move was a lot more difficult than we planned, emotionally and physically. At first we rented a big Uhaul truck, we figured we could fit everything in there. What were we thinking?????? We ended up getting the big Uhaul, a smaller Uhaul truck, and a trailer. For the first time in my life I had to pull something. YIKES!!!!
To say it was hard to leave our sunny Las Vegas was an understatement. Some of our bestest friends showed up and bid us farewell. They stood at our house and waved as our family pulled away from the curb and headed onto our next journey.
We headed to St. George the first night. That was good, because we were all so tired. We got up the next morning and said goodbye to Ben's family in St. George and headed north. Thankfully the trip north was uneventful. Ben was pretty worried because neither Jodi or myself had ever pulled anything and we were definitely pulling. Jodi was in her car with Isabelle and Fletcher, McGregor rode with Ben in the "big" truck, and Jarrett and Shadow rode with me. Ben's truck was getting a whole 4-5 miles per gallon!! After our stop in Fillmore Jarrett and I headed ahead of everyone so we could get the keys to our new house.
Everyone did awesome. Our kids are such troopers, that was a long couple of days, I mean weeks.
We want to thanks everyone who helped up load up in Vegas. You guys were awesome. Thank you Jodi for coming and helping with everything. And thanks to our family who helped us unpack in Logan:)
Shadow rode in between mine and Jarrett's seats. He did really well because that truck was pretty rough riding.
