The kids had a long weekend so we packed the van and headed to sunny Las Vegas. We have missed Vegas probably everyday since we moved back to Utah. All of the pictures are from our hike @ redrock. I think that is one of the things I miss most is our "adventures" we would go on while we lived there. It isn't so easy to do that here. Down in Vegas you could find something to do for about free, here everything seems to take money. I know it will get better when summer comes, but winter is terrible. It was exactly what we needed. I still don't know if it was the best thing for us to go to Vegas because we now want to move back ASAP. We weren't there long but we had a blast. We were with friends both nights. Our awesome friends the Johnsons had a bbq for us Friday night. That was a lot of fun and some dang good burgers. On Saturday we went hiking @ Redrock. We had so much fun. It was one of our best hikes. Then Saturday late afternoon we met some more of our friends at the park for a fun evening of playing and visiting. Sunday we went to our old ward and poor Fletcher got sick and threw up at church:( Ben and I just found a corner and stayed there while the kids went to Primary. I didn't have the heart to not let them go, they have missed it so much. We lived in Vegas for such a short time, but the impact it has had on us and our lives is amazing. We took a leap of faith when we moved there and it was the best move we have ever made. I feel a lot that we left a piece of ourselves in Vegas when we left and being down there this weekend I know that is true. Even though we had to cut our vacation short because of Fletcher getting sick and coming home a day early we had a ton of fun. I am definitely not waiting another 5 months to go back. The friends we made down there are more like family than just friends and we love and miss them everyday. It was a great weekend.
