East Coast 2008

I thought I would tell everyone a little bit about our trip to the East. We left on June 25th and returned on July 9th. We went to what people know out there as the Outer Banks. It is a little island off the coast of North Carolina. It consists of towns like Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Duck and then it is also by Roanoke Island. We spent almost everyday at the beach and we loved it. We all boogie boarded and had a blast. Ben is excited because he finally lost his farmer's tan. We were able to visit so much. We saw the Wright Brothers monument, where the first flight was taken, we went to Roanoke island were the Lost Colony was from, we went to Ocracoke Island this is where Black Beard the pirate was I guess you can call it stationed and where eventually was caught and beheaded, and we also got to go to Richmond Virginia. We saw Jamestown and Jandi took us to some of the historical sights around Richmond our last day out there. It was so much fun and interesting. Lots to see and do. The history is amazing back there and we are so thankful that we had the chance to go back. Thanks to Jodi for renting the Beach house. It is always nice to go and visit new places and experience new things. Sometimes you wish to stay other times you are glad you can go home.
