First Day of School Among Other Things!

Ben had to work Utah this last week so the kids and I jumped in and went with. We decided we had better since school was starting and we probably wouldn't be back up there until Thanksgiving. We had some fun. This time we stayed in a hotel, it worked out good. We visited, had a birthday party for McGregor, swam a lot, went on a date (thank you Mom for watching the kids), had some lunch with my cousin Stefanie and Aunt Dixie, ate some corn, and yes we went to the fair. It was a good visit. I even had fun at the fair. We were just there one night, but the kids had fun. They live for the fair. Ben's cousin PJ even took Grand Champion!! Max and Isaac got blue ribbons.

We were going to try and do one more adventure before school started, but we ended up spending most of our day @ the doctor's office and getting X-rays. Jarrett and McGregor were wrestling Saturday morning and fell off the bed. McGregor hurt his arm pretty good and could not move it. After a couple of hours of it not getting better we took him in. After about 3 hours they decided he didn't break it just dislocated it. Poor little guy, it hurt him pretty good with all the moving they had to do for X-rays and then having to put it back in place. He was happy as a clam leaving the doctor's office because he had a sucker and no broken arm.

We we started school this morning....yeah that was a hard one. Jarrett and Isabelle were so excited. Jarrett was up and ready by 7:22, school doesn't start here until 8:55. We got them a good breakfast and did the annual first day of school pictures and we headed out the door. They have these lines that have their classroom numbers on them and that is where they line up in the morning before they go into class. To say they were nervous was an understatement. I think Jarrett was on the verge of being sick and Isabelle was on the verge of tears. I kept telling them that everything was going to be awesome and that they weren't the only new kids in school. In Jarrett's class alone there was 10 new kids. As for me I stayed tough until my kids walked away into the big school. That was harder than kindergarten. Gregor told me we were going to play together today since me and him don't have friends....sad...but true. So we have played, we built his new tent and played in it and watched some backyardigans.

I am learning lots of new things about me down here. Some are good and some are bad, but I am trying to improve on the bad. Ben and I both got new callings in our ward I am a relief society teacher again and Ben is the new ward missionary. We are settling here pretty well, we have our good days and our bad days, but I think we are having more good days. There will be a lot of posts this week we have Gregor's birthday tomorrow and Fletcher's Wednesday. So it is a busy fun week.

Oh Nicki, I miss you! I feel for you, the first day is hard. I can't wait to hear all about their classes and new friends.
