Enjoying a good snow cone
This is a Santa Claus Melon, supposed to be white inside and very sweet. We haven't tasted it yet, but I am way excited.
Yesterday we went to our first farmer's market in Las Vegas. I was pretty excited, I tried to go last week but was off on my days and missed it. It wasn't as big as Ben and I had expected, but it was still fun. They had fruits and veges, cat and dog houses, snow cones (yummy), smoked brisket and pork (didn't try it this time, but definitely next), a guy who made little trinkets out of glass (Jarrett was mesmerized watching him make a baby turtle), some grilled corn on the cob, and some good popcorn. The temp was good and the atmosphere relaxed and fun. I am glad we went. I will admit the corn wasn't anywhere near the flavor of our "Brough corn" and the peaches weren't as good as Perry's peaches, but it was still good and a fun way to spend an hour.
