So far this fall....

Sorry everyone this will probably be a long one. We will start with Jarrett. This year he is playing flag football. He really wanted to play tackle, but we talked him into flag for this season. He has done really well. I think flag has been better for him to learn the technique. We have about another month with practices and games.
I had the chance to go home the first weekend in October. It was just me that went and it was a much needed break. It's no secret that this move has been hard on me. I flew in Friday morning and spent Friday with my Dad, spent Saturday with my Mom and then went on a girls night out to Gardner's Village in Salt Lake, and then spent Sunday with my family and I flew out Sunday evening. It was really nice for me to be able to spend some one on one time with my parents. I loved it.
The next event was the following weekend when my sister Susie and her son Hunter came for a visit. The kids had Friday off school so we went in to the children's museum. The kids had so much fun, they didn't want to leave. Saturday we went up to the temple, played at the park, and went for frozen custard. Yummy!! They got up Sunday and headed for home.
Last Wednesday my sister Dayna flew in for a visit. We do what we do best and just hung out. Thursday me and her went into the outlets to look for some sexy red high heels. We didn't have any luck finding much, but we still had fun. Friday she watched our kids so Ben and I could go celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. Wow, I just can't get over 12 years already. It has gone by so fast. We just went to dinner and then went down to the Bellagio. It was just nice to be away for a few hours. Then Saturday Ben's dad and stepmom came. We went to Jarrett's football game, then went up to Mt. Charleston where we got cold. I had to take Dayna to the airport and then we went to dinner.
We have loved having all the visitors. It has been so good for me and the kids. This move has been probably top 3 of the hardest things I have had to do in my life. The kids are doing pretty well. They still have their days when they just want to go "home", and I totally understand. I have wondered a lot what the purpose is in all of this? Hopefully it will get easier. I know one thing I see being down here and that is how amazing and strong my kids are. Ben is loving everything. He makes the best out of every situation and I am trying to be more like him in that aspect. Thank you to everyone who has visited or helped us out through this time. We love you all!!

It's always great when people come and visit. I think it starts to make it feel a little more like your home. Let me emphasize...little. It's a gradual thing. Let's talk soon! Take care!
