The best part of Halloween this year was that the kids had a five day break from school. Yes, we headed to Utah. Ben was already there so me and the kids jumped in Ben's brand spankin new work truck and made the long trek north. The kids did awesome. They made it to Tremonton with only 1 stop (we even got stuck in traffic in Provo for about an hour). They were amazing! We were a little nervous for weather so I unpacked all our winter gear and packed it for the trip. I was pleasantly surprised, Halloween was the only day with cold and rain, but hey no snow. The weather was great. This year Jarrett was a skeleton, Isabelle a witch once again, McGregor was Zorro, and Fletch was a fireman. The kids hit the mother load this year with candy. We won't have to buy candy for a year! We did a lot of visiting this time, but it always seems we never have enough time to get to everyone.
We came home Wednesday and were very excited Jodi came to visit for awhile. The kids have really missed her since she moved to Erie.
Tonight I am humbled and overwhelmed. I was put in as the new Primary President in our ward. A lot of mixed emotions. As I was sitting in church today, I don't think I have ever felt so close to a ward as I do this one. For that I am thankful for our move. Choosing counselors and a secretary was a bit scary since I am so new to the ward, but I think Heavenly Father has chosen 3 amazing women to serve along side me.
I told Ben on the way home today that it is amazing to me, because the last month life has kind of fell into place here. For the first time since we moved I feel like this is really home. We have met some amazing people and made some great friends. The kids are doing so well right now. I have definitely seen and felt some blessings lately with our move.
