Well we made the trek north for Thanksgiving. We left Tuesday afternoon and hit a good blizzard just outside of Fillmore. We made it to Tremonton just before 2am and in time for some freezing cold weather. I think the high while we were there was maybe 20 degrees. To say we froze is an understatement. We spent Thanksgiving with Ben's family this year. It was a lot of fun. We ate at his Aunt Denise's house with 40+ other people. It is amazing to see the family now, and how everybody is growing and families are getting bigger. They kept to tradition and ate some food, watched football, then planned their shopping trips for the next day. It was a lot of fun to be with everyone. We didn't do as much visiting this time because we weren't there for very long. We went on a date Wed. night with Pete and Dari, then spent the rest of the time with Ben's dad and Nancy, and my family. We went and saw Tangled while we were there. It is one of my favorites. So cute! Me and my sisters did a shower for our youngest sister Dayna, she is getting married Dec. 30. It was a lot of fun. We met at Maddox and I got to see and visit with some of my cousins. Lots of fun. Then we headed home out of the cold.
I haven't been able to say what I am thankful for this year, so here goes. First and foremost I am thankful for Ben and my kids. Ben works so hard for our family. He makes life fun. He is the best dad, I love to watch him with our kids. He is my best friend and I am thankful for our relationship. Everyone of our kids is amazing. Jarrett is our peacemaker. He is such a good boy, he has so much love in his little body. He is always thinking of others and trying to do what is right. Isabelle is so strong. She is my little helper, sometimes I have to remind her that I am the mom. She is always helping me clean and helping with Fletcher, and she is usually singing while she goes. McGregor, oh my Gregor. He seems to capture every ones heart. He is our comedian and he has the best imagination. Now to Fletcher. Don't have to say a lot about Fletcher but how thankful I am he is in our home. We have enjoyed him so much. He is cute with whatever he is doing, even when he is getting in trouble. I am thankful I get to be there mom, I get to see sides of everyone of them that nobody else does.
Next, I am thankful for our extended family and close friends. It has been hard to move away from everyone. We miss everybody like crazy, but how thankful we are for their love and support. We wouldn't have been able to make it through the last couple of years without them.
Finally I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows what we need more than we do. I am thankful for the Gospel and to live close to a temple. It blesses my life everyday.
It has been a hard year, with my dad's health and our move. I haven't dealt very well, but it seems as time goes on it gets easier. We are enjoying Vegas. We have grown as a family and for that I am thankful. We have made some amazing friends down here and we love our ward. It is weird how everything has sort of just fell into place. We love you all and are so thankful for our relationships with everyone of you!
