Our Week

Week started off bad and ended good. Ben had to leave for SLC early Monday morning. First time for me to be alone in Las Vegas in our new house. A little scary for me. To add to that Fletcher started with the flu Sunday night. By Tuesday morning Fletcher was getting worse not better so I took him to a doctor close by the house (definitely won't be going back to him), they sent me to get his blood work done to see how dehydrated he was. That was a 1pm and he seemed to improve throughout the day. About 7pm I heard from the doctor that the blood results weren't good and he was dangerously dehydrated and I needed to take him to the ER. Well Ben wasn't home quite yet so I loaded the kids in the car and we headed to Summerlin Hospital. We got there and they were just getting ready to take us back when Ben walked through the door. Whewww!! Fletcher was such a little trooper through all of this. They got him hooked up to an IV and started to pump fluids in. Ben took the other kids home about 9:30 pm and they admitted Fletcher, but we didn't get to a room until 2:30 am. We had some good nurses in the ER, but as for the rest of our stay I will say that after having McGregor in Primary Children's I was not impressed at all with Summerlin Hospital. We ended up going home 6:00 pm Wednesday night. Finally by Thursday night Fletcher was able to keep a little formula down. Isabelle has been the only one besides Fletcher to get the flu, we are crossing our fingers that that is how it will stay. I am thankful that we got insurance 2 days before this and I am thankful for my new ward and the sisters in the Relief Society that have kept a close eye on us and make us feel so welcome. It was so hard to be away from family during this, but it was nice to come home and have 2 ladies from my ward waiting for us.
